Crystal "Marie" Jones, 98, formerly of Hiawatha, of Northbrook Manor died there, May 12, 2009, after age related complications. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Hope United Church of Christ, 150 9th Ave., Hiawatha by Rev. Frederich Millberg. Burial: 2:30 p.m. North English Cemetery. Friends may visit after 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Marie is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Munoz of Hiawatha; four grandchildren, Greg (Joleen) Cole of Concord, CA, Gary (Char) Cole of Avon, CO, Sheryl (Jim) Stallman of Fairfax and Roldan Munoz of Santa Barbara, CA; six great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Olivia Cole, Jason Brgoch and Tyler Cole, Kate and Paul Stallman.
Her husband, Merle; a daughter Elaine Cole; two son-in-laws, Gus Munoz and John Cole precede Marie in death.
Marie was born July 6, 1910 in North English, daughter of George Albert and Mary "Maude" Dennis Hanchett. She married Merle Jones on June 10, 1930, in Marengo. Marie retired from Collins Radio.
Marie enjoyed playing bingo, cards, baking, gardening and making crafts. She lived a long full life and will be truly missed by those who loved her.
