Only son of Horatio Edwards & Francis Elizabeth Dillingham, born Johnson Co. Missouri. Five sisters, Cynthia Cox, Lucinda Cox d. 1869, Susan Jeffries, Martha Ann Yancey, Adelia Cox Herndon d. 1879. Family moved to Vernon Co. Mo 1855, over boarder to Linn Co. KS by 1860. All married in Linn Co.KS. Wm R. Edwards married Nancy Jane Jobe abt 1873.1874 all these families moved to Little Sioux, Harrison Iowa. A large religious group of Reorganized LDS Church, except Susan, she m. Anthoney Jefferies 1870 they moved to N Platte NE.All moved back to Jackson Co Mo area by 1880. Nancy Edwards died abt. 1881, After William died the children Jesse & Belle Edwards lived with Martha & John H. Yancey.

Gravesite Details

Home was 1 mi. NE of Toalson Cemetery, sicked from gas in ground ,while digging a well for the Mitchell family lived about a week.
