Elkins, NH - Wanda M. (Lull) Wallace, 70, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at her home.

The daughter of Richard C. Lull and Jennie R. (Buttrick) Lull, she was born in New London, NH on May 1, 1939 . Wanda grew up in Elkins and graduated from New London High School in 1957. She attended Vermont Junior College and earned a BS in Physical Therapy from Sargent College at Boston University. She married and lived in Massachusetts until she came home to Elkins 14 years ago. Wanda was a physical therapist at Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, Mass Hospital School in Canton, Hale Hospital in Haverhill, North Shore VNA, and Tewksbury State Hospital. Wanda was passionate about the environment, world hunger and other social causes. For thirty five years Wanda was a sponsor of children from Kenya, Cambodia, and Brazil through the Christians Children's Fund. She was a member and officer of Elkins Ladies Benevolent Society, Merrimack County Nursing Home Auxiliary and Our Lady of Fatima/Immaculate Conception Parish and the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway Coalition. She hiked all of the 4000' peaks in New Hampshire, and completed hiking the Appalachian Trail with her husband in 2002.

Surviving family members include her husband of 45 years, Neil F. Wallace of Elkins, NH; a daughter, Jeanne M. Weaver and her husband, Brad of Hamilton, MA; two sons, Richard N. Wallace of Amherst, MA and Benjamin S. Wallace and his wife, Julie Paulson of Vallejo, CA; and four grandchildren: Alexander, Benjamin, Isabella, and Zachary.

Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 7-9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, Potter Place, NH. Burial will be in Elkins Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Children's Fund, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294.
