Mary Brafford, 86, of Monett, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo.
Mrs. Brafford was born May 11, 1923 in Sheriday, Wyo., the daughter of Charles Herbert and Emma Ellen Rose Angle. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett.
She married Clarence Ervin Brafford on September 17, 1947, in Miami, Okla., and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2003.
Survivors include: four daughters, Rosemary Justus and husband, Jack, of Bath, Pa., Linda Wilks and husband, Don, of Cape Fair, Mo., Barbara Wilson and husband, Doug, of Leewood, Kan., and Erma Jo Knight, of Monett; one brother, Charles Angle III and wife, Joann, of Miami, Okla.; one special niece, Debbie Brafford, of Monett; five grandchildren, Stephenie Hargrove and husband, Brian, of Imperial, Mo., Jeremy Justus of Indianapolis, Ind., Christopher Wilks and wife, Layne, of Branson, Mo., Mary Jo Talley, of Monett; and Julie Justus, of Arlington, Va.; and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hargrove and Nathan Hargrove, of Imperial, Mo., Sawyer Wilks, of Branson, Mo., and Iris Justus, of Indianapolis, Ind.
She was preceded in death by one son, Clarence James Brafford; one brother, John Angle; and one sister, Marguerite Canada.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Monett with Dr. Bill Cox and Rev. M.E. Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
