Although her marker has her name as Jannie Bowman, she appears to have gone by the name Jennie Bowman in most records.
Her Indiana Death Certificate #7427 has her name as Jennie Bowman. It is possible that her husband, whose parents apparently did spell the name as "Boman", decided that he had put up with his name being spelled "Bowman" throughout his life, but he wanted to die with his named spelled in the olden way as "Boman" so he could rest in peace. Many names were Anglicized to get people to pronounce them correctly. Boman is the way it is spelled on his marker, so despite his official Indiana Death Certificate having it as Bowman, we are honoring his last wishes and using the name as Boman --- dhintx #47160808
