Wilson C. Blair died at the home of his brother, John in this city Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1915, at 12:15 p.m., at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 12 days.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3:00, at the Pratt M.E. Church 8 miles South of Larned, and the remains were laid to rest in the Pratt Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Brown, and were held under the auspices of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Larned, of which the deceased was a member of long standing.

Mr. Brown was born in Brown County, Ohio and was the oldest of a family of five children. He served three years of the Civil War in the Third Missouri Cavalry, and was a member of the G.A.R. He came to Pawnee County with his parents and brother and sisters in 1876, all locating on claims on the south side. The parents died some years later. The deceased was never married. For a number of years he has been almost helpless, and has made his home with his brother and sister. He is survived by his brother John and two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Gilkison and Miss Lizzie Blair. The next nearest relatives are cousins living in Missouri.
