Rites Wednesday for Mrs Bath Former Teacher
Georgetown Mrs Susan Gertrude Shackelford Bath 82 widow of Benjamin Marion Bath died Monday in Georgetown County Memorial Hospital.
Born in the Choppee section of Georgetown County she was a daughter of the late James Benjamin White Shackelford and Susan Gertrude Haddock Shackelford. She taught school for many years and had lived in Georgetown most of her life.
Surviving are two sons D White Bath of Natchez Miss and Richard O Bath of Georgetown three daughters Mrs Willie Benton, Mrs JC Cox, and Mrs Gene Rader of Georgetown a brother Richard W Shackelford of Columbia and two half brothers Henry W Shackelford and W Olin Shackelford of Georgetown.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday in Duncan Memorial Methodist Church Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Mayer Funeral Home is in charge.
