OBITUARIES
ALICE D. THOMAS
Malad, Ida. - Mrs. Alice D. Thomas, 83-year-old church worker and past president of the Oneida county War Mothers, died yesterday at the Oneida hospital.
Mrs. Thomas was active in the Latter-day Saints church virtually her entire life, serving in the Relief society and for 40 years in the Primary association. She was a practical nurse as well.
Born at Malad on Dec. 7, 1868, she was a daughter of Jesse R. and Ellen Rhees Dredge. She was educated here and married David Sparry Thomas on April 13, 1888 in the Logan temple. He died on Oct. 28, 1927.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Bishop D. Dredge Thomas, William G. Thomas, Lizzie Thomas all of Malad; Herbert D. Thomas, Ogden, Utah; two brothers and two sisters, Jesse H. Dredge, Mrs. Emma D. Harrison both of Malad; Mrs. Hettie M. Lusk, Sugar City, Ida., Richard H. Dredge, Parma, Ida., 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Malad 1st ward chapel with Counselor James G. Vaughn conducting. Friends may call at the family home Sunday and Monday. Burial will be in the Malad City cemetery directed by the Malad funeral service.
