Willie Mae Toney Brumfield, a resident of Denham Springs, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at Columbia Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 76 and a native of Franklinton.

Survived by a daughter, Susan K. Gibson, Crossett, Ark.; four sons, Larry Brumfield, Denham Springs, Jimmy Brumfield, Baton Rouge, Don Brumfield, Clovis, N.M., and Scott Brumfield, Denham Springs; two sisters, Maudie Reeves, Franklinton, and Doris Wactor, Biloxi, Miss.; a brother, Curtis Toney, Springfield; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Victor J. Brumfield; parents, Leander and Edna Ard Toney; three brothers, Leon, Clarence and Ray Toney; and a sister, Ethel Reeves.

She was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gray's Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
