Open House Will Honor Ogdenite
Mrs. Diantha (Dot) Glines Bender of 2567 Harrison will be honored in the occasion of her 80th birthday at an open house on Saturday.
Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ogden LDS 12th Ward Relief Society Room at 2604 Jackson.
Mrs. Bender was born in Vernal, Aug. 28, 1893, a daughter of Harvey Glines and Melvia Bassett. They moved to Ogden in 1911.
PLAYED IN BAND
She played in an all-women band. She is active in the LDS Church.
In 1918 she was married to Arthur G. Bender. He died in 1963.
Mrs. Bender has one son and three daughters: Clair G. Bender of Burbank, California; Mrs. Bertie B. Robins of Hermosa Beach, California; Mrs. Kenneth (Carole) Hampson of Ogden and Mrs. Bill (Merle) Hunter of Riverdale.
She has 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
