Memorial services for Janet Elizabeth Halverstadt of Sacramento will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 4148 Madison Ave. in North Highlands. Burial will be at the East Lawn Cemetery in Elk Grove.
Mrs. Halverstadt died Monday, Jan. 6, in Sacramento. She was 66.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1936, in Nevada City, to Jack Edward Williams and Elizabeth Shaw. She graduated from Nevada Union High School. She married Donald Halverstadt on March 16, 1958, at the First Methodist Church in Nevada City. She worked at Raley's Pharmacy. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, travelling and shopping for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Kurt and Scott Halverstadt, both of Elk Grove, and Donald Halverstadt of Sacramento; daughter Sherry Halverstadt of Sacramento; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Halverstadt in 1996
