A HISTORY OF JACOB & SARAH SNARE KEPLER AND THEIR DESCENDANTS: The migration of the Keplers from Ohio to Iowa occurred in three stages. Catherine came with her husband and several young children, along with others of the Fry family, in the year 1839, thus being among Johnson County's (Iowa) first settlers. George and Catherine located on about a quarter section of land cater-cornered from the present day Grout Church. Probably at the urging of the Frys, most of the remainder of the Kepler Family came in 1841. SPOUSE: George W. Fry. CHLDREN: Virgil;Elias; Malissa; Isaiah; Sarah; Amos; Mary M.
