OBITUARY: Solomon Valley Tribune-issue of May 18, 1961
Dr. Fred Fleming died April 4 at the home of a son, Rev K. Glen Fleming of Cambridge, N.Y.
Dr. Fleming was a graduate of the Solomon high school in 1896. He was married to Lurena Low of Solomon. They made their home in Montrose, Colo. for many years before going to California.
Following the death of Mrs. Fleming June 24, 1959, Dr. Fleming made his home with his son.
Survivors besides the son are two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Lank of Junction City and Lucy, Mrs. Herbert Williams of Montrose, Coo. Burial was in Prairie Mound cemetery, Solomon.
Frederic and Lurena also had a daughter, Frances Lurena Fleming (born July 24, 1912), who married Pascal Poe. Social Security Death Index indicates Frances died in January of 1985 in Connecticut, but it seems strange she wasn't listed as a survivor in her father's obituary. In a note July 2019, Frederic's grandchild, child of K. Glen Fleming, confirmed that Frances was indeed a daughter.
