Sally is believed to have passed away in Russell, PA.
A ninth child by a second wife: Salmon is listed along with wife #2 Elizabeth as a parent to Martha J. on her death certificate. This documentary evidence confirms the family story of three wives.
In the early 1840's, Salmon married wife #3 Margret Kerr.

Salmon owned a sawmill near Pentwater, Oceana County, on Lake Michigan.
Like his son Victory, Salmon was a successful business man and was active in the Oceana and Benzie County areas of Michigan.
"Among the earliest investors in Crystal Lake Township, near Frankfort, Benzie Co. Michigan, who were interested in or have contributed to its growth and development, that have since died, may be mentioned as actual settlers were, Solomon Satterlee and his son Victory Saterlee, who built and operated the first hotel in Frankfort." GSW Fowler, Vol 3, Satterlee Genealogy.
In Benzie County he helped to build the first hotel in the area near Crystal Lake.
In 1871, on January 15 in Hart, Oceana County, Michigan, Salmon passed away.
Salmon is buried with his son Victory in Crystal Lake Township Cemetery North, north of Frankfort, Michigan.
