Bethany Coon (1752-1831) was the daughter of Elisha Coon, Sr (1727-1778) and sister of Abel Coon of the Saratoga Patent and Elisha Coon, Jr. of the Saratoga Patent who married Hannah Satterly. She married Sylvester Satterlee, a/k/a Satterly of the Saratoga Patent. (1751-1825).

Between l774 - l777. Sylvester moved Bethany & Sylvester Jr. northwest to Washington Co., N.Y. They had a homestead one & a half miles S.E., of Greenwich, (then called Union Village). The next 8 of their 9 children were born on the old homestead, near the old Cambridge road.
Bethany Coon and Sylvester Satterly were members of Bottskill Baptist Church of Greenwich, origin from 1767.

In 1801, Bethany's younger brother Asa Coon died leaving his widow Judith Stillman with 13 children, the youngest age 1. Quite likely Bethany and her husband assisted her sister-in-law Judith.

Buried most likely in the deteriorated Satterly Cemetery of Blooming Grove, Orange County, NY. Records from Goshen Library are too recent (1955).
