Mrs. Lucy (Grabenstein) Jaures, 94, of 9507 Woodsboro Road, Near Libertytown, died Friday, April 17, 1998, at her brother's residence, after an extended illness. She was the wife of Thomas Jaures who died in 1981
Born April 29,1903, in Cumberland,Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Sebastian Adam and Anna (Luke) Grabenstein.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Libertytown, Maryland.
She was formerly employed as a dressmaker with the Virginia Driscoll Dress Shop, Baltimore.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph S. Grabenstein, with whom she resided, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lydia Straub and a brother Francis DeSales Grabenstein,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon, Monday, April 20, 1998 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Dietzenbach as celebrant, Inurment will be at a later date in Sts Peter and Paul Cemetery, Cumberland The family will receive frienda at Hartzler Funeral Home, Libertytown, from 2 to 4 P.M. ans 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday. April 19. where the rosary will be recited at 8 P.M.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Sund of St. Peter's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 276 Libertytown,Maryland 21762
