New Holstein—Mrs. Arno Matzen passed away this morning at the Wisconsin General hospital where she had been a patient for the past three and a half months. She had been in ill health for the past year and a half.
Mr. Matzen was born in St. Anna on Sept. 22, 1902, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Konz and on May 7, 1923, was married to Arno Matzen of New Holstein. Following their marriage they resided on the Matzen farm in the town of New Holstein.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Marion; two sons, Francis of Milwaukee and Warren at home; two sisters, Sister M. Romaine of Appleton and Mrs. Edward Brey of Westerly, RI; four brothers, Armin, Sylvan, Alfred and Alex Konz of Sheboygan.
Mrs. Matzen was a member of the Woman's Guild of St. Johns Evangelical and Reformed church.
