"Thomas Barry, a well known resident of Delaware county and who was one of the county's good farmers, died yesterday (Tuesday) morning at half-past five o'clock, at his home in Masonville. He had been ill a great portion of the time during the past two years, his death resulting from a complication of diseases. Mr. Barry was born at Bunkston, Dubuque county, in 1860, and was therefore forty-one years of age at the time of his death. He had resided in this county for several years. He is survived by a wife, to whom he was married twelve years ago, five children, a father, six sisters, and five brothers, one of the latter being Wm. Barry, a well known farmer of Prairie township. His father is a resident of Farley. The deceased was a faithful member of the Catholic church.
The funeral was held this forenoon at half-past ten o'clock, at the Catholic church in Masonville, Rev. Father Murtagh officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery at Masonville."
