"Ben H. Mantlo, 72, of Dearborn, died yesterday at the Veterans Administration hospital, Wadsworth, Kas. Mr. Mantlo was born in Princeton, Mo., and had lived most of his life in this area. He was a veteran of World War I. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Hunt of Dearborn, and Mrs. Jean Linder of Parkville, Mo.; two sons, John N. Mantlo of the home and Bobby J. Mantlo, serving with the armed forces in Germany; and a sister, Mrs. Crete Kincaid of Spickard, Mo. Services will be at 2 o'clock Mondayat the VA Protestant chapel, Wadsworth; burial in the Veterans cemetery there." The Kansas City Star, July 29, 1962
