Her Obituary published in the Port Huron Newspaper October 16, 1902 pg. 1 read "Mrs. Maria Robinson [sic] died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Lindsay, in Smith's Creek this morning. The deceased was born in New York State nearly 87 years ago. She came to this county and had resided in St. Clair Township for 65 years. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Emma Lindsay of Smith's Creek, Mrs. Carrie Rowley of Washington, and Mrs. Ida Williams of Port Huron; and four sons, Marvin [sic] of St. Clair, James O., Frank and Sidney of Midland, Michigan. The funeral will be held from the residence of her daughter Mrs. Lindsay. The internment will take place in East China."
Her cause of death was listed as "spinal paresis"
