Joan was born June 1, 1927 at Sioux City, Iowa to Lloyd and Harriet (Anderson) Bridenbaugh.
She married Jack S. Manion on June 6, 1948 in Homer, Nebraska.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, and P.E.O.
Joan is survived by her children, Connie L. Manion of Grand Junction, Colorado, Patricia J. Quinn of Aurora, Colorado, Tim (Brenda) Manion of Omaha, and Jeff (Jane) Manion of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren, Marc Brunner, J.J. Manion, Jack Manion, Dan Manion, Joe Manion, and Derek Manion. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald (Glenndia) Bridenbaugh of Sequim, Washington, Robert Bridenbaugh of Gladstone, Michigan, Boyd Bridenbaugh of Sequim, Washington, and Phil (Diann) Bridenbaugh of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her sisters, Carol (Bill) Schweikhard of Palmdale, California, Nita (Jim) Connelly of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and Margaret Case of Kimball. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jack S. Manion.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Stephen T. Roosa officiating. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. A reception will follow the funeral services at 1 p.m. at the church. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Alliance on Monday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Alliance.
