Nita Rae Connelly, 84 of Canal Fulton, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016.
She was the beloved spouse of the late James Connelly, sharing 58 years of marriage together. Nita was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by two brothers; Bud and Phil; sister, Marg; her sons, Steve (Caroline) of Phoenix, AZ, Stan (Robin) of Litchfield, OH and Doug (Lori) of Canal Fulton; daughter, Linda (Mike) of Kearney, MO; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Nita was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan for life. In honor of her extreme team spirit, you are invited to wear Cornhuskers attire or the colors red and white to the funeral.
She was a sports enthusiast and loved attending baseball games with her family.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 10:00am, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton, Fr. Kevin McCaffrey, officiating.
Friends may call Saturday, 9:30am until time of service. Final Resting Place Holy Family Cemetery, Lindsay, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th St. SW, Canton, OH 44707.
