Mrs. Laffer, who was buried today was a daughter of Honorable Welcome Wells and first came to Kansas about 22 years ago. She was universally respected and the family has the sympathy of the entire community.

Her husband, Henry Laffer II, who was the proprietor of the Blue River Ferry in 1870, moved out to Colorado after her death and became a silver miner.
