Dean A. Barrick, 81, of Spring Garden Estates, South Middleton Township, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at home.
Born May 18, 1920 in Upper Mifflin Township, a son of the late Arthur and Edna Geedy Barrick, he was retired from Subway Auto Body Shop, Carlisle. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 872nd Engineer Battalion.
Mr. Barrick is survived by his wife of 59 years, Effie M. King Barrick; four sons, Gary D. of Junction City, Kan., Dennis A. of Camp Hill, George A. of Newville and Michael L. of Carlisle; a daughter, Shirley M. Sheriff of Carlisle; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Roy and Oscar Barrick, and a sister, Esther Barrick.
Services will be held Friday at noon in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Thomas S. Weber officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.
Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
