Born Jan.. 4, 1909, in Augusta County, he was a son of the late Elom N. and Retta Kiblinger Grove.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Ladd and was retired employee of the Wayne Manufacturing Corp.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Henkle Hoy Grove of Route 3; two daughters, Mrs. C. G. (Donia) Pusey of Richmond, and Mrs. Percy (Jere) Fitzgerald of Staunton; one sister, Mrs. Anna Clarke of Richmond, and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Memorial Chapel of McDow-Tyree Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. James Daley, with interment in the church cemetery.
The family requests tributes take the form of contributions to favorite charities.
There will be no public viewing.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
