MRS. ROY EDWARDS, PIONEER OF DAYTON, DIES AT HER HOME

DAYTON, Sept. 3 – Mrs. Roy Edwards, 60, died at her home in Dayton Saturday night of a heart attack. She had undergone an operation ten days before, from which she was recovering nicely and had been brought to her home Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Edwards was born south of Dayton, April 10, 1882, and lived in this vicinity her entire life.

She was married to Roy Edwards September 26, 1934.

She is survived by her husband, four children by a former marriage, Mrs. Venita Mayberry of Dayton, Kenneth Addison of Independence, Lawrence Addison of Banks, and Lyle Charles Addison, with the army in Hawaii; two brothers, Ray Morgareidge of Portland and Del Morgareidge of Dayton.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Macy chapel. With the Rev. Walter Smity of West Seattle, Wash., officiating. He is a former pastor of the Dayton Baptist church.

Burial was in the Morgareidge cemetery in the Webfoot district.
