Tanner from St. Alphage Cripplegate, London who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 on the Elizabeth (on 8 April 1635, "Roger Preston," aged 21, was one of four men, listed as tanners, and with certificate of conformity from St. Alphage Cripplegate, London, who were enrolled at London as passengers for New England on the Elizabeth). First settled in Ipswich; moved to Salem MA in 1659. Died while on a fishing voyage while living in Lynn MA, 20 January 1665[/6].
MARRIAGE: By about 1643 Martha _____, born about 1622 (on 19 June 1666, "Martha Holt" deposed "aged about forty-four years"). She married (2) at Andover on 21 May 1666 NICHOLAS HOLT {1635, Newbury}
