Reverend Theophilus Cushing Junior

Son of Theophilus Cushing and Mary Jacob Thaxter. Grandson of Hon. Daniel Cushing and Lydia Clark Gilman, Captain John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob.

Husband of Hannah Waterman, the daughter of Robert Waterman and Sarah Lewis. They were married either 27 Aug or 18 Sep 1723 in Hingham and had ten children:

Theophilus was a farmer, mill owner and Constable. His will was proved 25 June 1779. He resided on the paternal homestead, Main Street, South Hingham. He was a Selectman. "Theophilus had taken over their cousin John Jacob's sawmill and fulling-mill and added a grist mill at what would be Cushing's Pond, connected beneath Main Street to Fulling Mill Pond by an "amazing underground aqueduct."
Married Hannah Waterman 18 Sep 1723 in Hingham, Plymouth, MA. Buried in High St Cem, Plymouth, Ma.
