FUNERAL AT CHAPEL -- Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Leiter, 77, a resident of Traverse City for the past 21 years, who died Monday at her home, 1021 Grant street, after a brief illness, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Hibbard chapel. Rev. Marshall Rogers, pastor of the First Christian church, officiated and interment was made in the family lot in the Acme cemetery.
TCRE 11-18-1954Mother was Lydia Ann Rose and was the second wife of Jacoab Leiter. Jacob and Lydia were married May 16, 1861 in Fulton Co in Pa. Lydia was born Sept 18,1842 and died in 1923 and buried in Fulton Co Indiana. Both Jacob and Lydia are buried in the Ford 100f Cemetery in Fulton County, Indiana. Many of her brother and sisters are buried in that cemetery too.

Jacob was born Feb 13, 1824 in Union County Pennsylvania and died in 1907 in Kewanna, Indiana. Jacob's father was John Leiter III and Jacob's mother was Barbara Witmer.

Laura's brother and sisters were; Jane Leiter born May 25, 1862 Ford Indiana, Barbara A. Leiter born Feb 1, 1864 Ford Indiana, Adda Leiater born Dec 17, 1865 Ford Indiana, Minnie V. Leiter born Feb 14, 1868 Ford Indiana, Ulysses Abrahm Leier born Nov 6, 1871 Ford Indiana, Levi Leiter born Aug 18, 1873 Ford Indiana, Eli C. Leiter born Sept 27, 1875 Ford Indiana, Lydia Leiter born Feb 21, 1878 Ford Indiana, Anna Mollie Leiter born April 16, 1880, Laville R. Leiter born Dec 5, 1882 Ford Indiana, and Edward Leiter born June 16, 1885 Ford Indiana. Step sisters were Sarah Catherine and Melissa Leiter and brother was Sidney Leiter born about 1860 in Ford Indiana from Jacobs first wife, Mary Cramer whom he married May 16, 1844 in Union County Pa. Mary died Jan 13, 1861 and was buried in Fulton Co in Indiana. Laura's grandfather on her mothers side was Levi Rose and grandmother was Mary Rader.
