Viola E. Rodgers Biglerville
Viola E. Rodgers, 88, of 585 Upper Temple Road, Biglerville, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Gettysburg Hospital. She was the wife of Charles L. Funt, who died in 1973, and Leroy Rodgers, who died in 1989.
Born Oct. 31, 1912, in Tyrone Township, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Goldie Mauss Herman.
She had been a seasonal employee of C.H. Musselman Co., Pet Milk Inc. in Biglerville for many years. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Brethren Church of Guernsey, Willing Workers Sunday school class, Ladies Auxiliary of Arendtsville Fire Co., and AARP.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Miriam Livelsburger of New Oxford and Frances Morton of Dallastown; one stepson, Wilmer Rodgers of Abbottstown; one sister, Pearl Plank of Gettysburg; one brother, Norman Herman of York Springs; 14 stepgrandchildren, 21 stepgreat-grandchildren and three step great-great-grandchildren.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Dugan Funeral Home Inc., 111 S. Main St., Bendersville, with the Rev. Murray B. Stevens officiating.
Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Arendtsville.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
