OBITUARY
Carlos L. Poush Rites Held with Full Honors
Full military honors were held in the rites conducted for the late Pfc. Carlos L. Poush, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Poush, Sunday.
The American Legion was in charge of the services at the Baptist church with the Rev. A. E. Beals and Rev. W. L. Peters officiating.
Poush, son of Harry W. and Carrie L. Poush, was born near Newbern, September 25, 1918. He was graduated from the Chariton high school in 1934. On June 19, 1938, he was married to Ethyl Leota Smith.
He entered service Dec. 27, 1943. He received his basic training at Camp Blending, Fla., and in July, 1944, was sent overseas where he served as a Pfc. in Co. L, 350th Infantry, with the 5th Army. He was wounded in action in Northern Italy on Oct. 18, 1944, and died the following day at the age of 26 years and 24 days.
In addition to the parents and his wife he is survived by a brother, Loren B.; two sisters, Cleo Trecker of Carroll, and Jessie Juntunen of Detroit, Mich.

Carlos was originally buried at the Pietramala-Mt. Beni U.S. Cemetery in Italy. His remains were brought home and buried in the Chariton Cemetery on November 21, 1948.
