Claire K. Jorett (nee Krusen)
Woodbury - Claire K. Jorett (nee Krusen), 92, a lifetime resident of Woodbury, passed away on October 11, 2021. Claire was salutatorian of Woodbury High School class of 1946 and received her master's degree in education from University of Pennsylvania. She was a long-time member of Kemble Memorial Church, and member of the Rebecca circle. She taught at Woodbury HS in the late 50s and 60s. She worked at Provident Mutual, Savitz Organization, and finally Firmani Pensions when she retired at age 86. Claire was a Girl Scout Leader & Cookie Mom; a math tutor and she loved to play bridge and bingo, do jigsaw puzzles, take care of her cat, Puff and absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Claire was predeceased by her husband William in 2002. She is survived by her children Margie (Chester) Green, Robert (Beth) Jorett & Connie Vollmer; sister Shirley (Ronald) Myers; grandchildren Kevin, Katrina (Justin), Chester (Amanda), Nicole, Bobby (Karissa) & Billy and great grandchildren Katriel & Carsen.
Visitation Friday 9:30am until the service at 11am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
