"Sergeant Tomlinson Dies in California"
Sergt. Paul W. Tomlinson, a former resident of St. Joseph, died Thursday at his home at Hamilton, (illegible)field, Cal., according to word received here by his sister, Mrs. F. C. Halsted, 1807 Jackson street. He was 36 years old. Sergeant Tomlinson lived in St. Joseph before joining the armed forces 17 years ago and graduated from Lafayette High School.
Besides his sister, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean (Joan? - slightly illegible) Tomlinson; one daughter, Phyllis, and two sons, Daniel and Richard Tomlinson, all of the home, and three other sisters, Mrs. E. M. DeVers, Maryville, Mo., Miss Shirley Tomlinson, Washington, D.C., and Miss Emma Tomlinson, San Francisco.
