Kay L. Hicks, 69, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a resident of Edinburgh.
Survivors include her husband, Perry Hicks; seven children, Darrell (Pam) Brazee and Ethan (Malinda) Bailey, both of North Vernon, Harvey (Susan) Bailey and Allison (George) Nolan, both of Edinburgh, Johnny Bailey of Columbus, Lana (Pete) Hendrickson of St. Paul, Minn., and Lisa Pace of Canton, Ill.; a stepson, Marty (Betty) Harper of Edinburgh; a stepdaughter, Sherry Parrott of Franklin; a brother, Richard Hitchcock of Missouri; two sisters, Wanda Ford of Cuba, Ill., and Lynda Regan of Norfolk, Va.; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Hitchcock; four sisters, Judy Burgess, Helen Bedwell, Shirley Maybee and Cynda Ramarez; and two grandsons.
The Rev. Gloria Nelson will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Kay L. Hicks, 69, of Edinburgh died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hicks attended Edinburgh United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, auctions, playing piano and singing. She will be missed by her dog, Bernie Jo.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Gloria Nelson officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
