She died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999.
She was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Carbon. She married Charles F. Young on June 2, 1933. He died Dec. 10, 1996. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and the Leo Gee Sunday School class.
Survivors include a son, Jarrell of Abilene; four daughters, May Runkles of Houston, Barbara Grimes and Sara Stroud, both of Lubbock and Judy Peterson of Temple; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
