Laura Louise (Lehto) Johnson of Battle Ground, WA passed away on September 19, 2007 in Springfield, OR at the age of 73. She was born April 15, 1934 in Brush Prairie, WA. Laura attended Battle Ground High School and had lived in Oregon and California before moving back to Clark County in 1990. She worked as a bartender and enjoyed watching golf and baseball, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed rooster figurines and other images of roosters. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Donald Johnson in 1996; son, William Carter Jr. in 2001; brothers: Willy Lehto, Ken Lehto, Norm Lehto, Milton Lehto and Bob Lehto; sisters: Mildred Puranen, Elma Andruss, Sylvia Harlow and Sharon Jaggers. Survivors include; daughters: Suzie Walling of Oregon and Vicki McDougald of Arizona; son, D.J. Johnson of Battle Ground; sisters: Gertrude Gustafson of Battle Ground, Dorothy Kay of Oregon and Neva Shelton of Goldendale, WA; brother, Nib Lehto of Goldendale; as well as, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:00pm at the home of D.J. and Traci Johnson, 111 SW 17th Ave., Battle Ground. Cremation was arranged by the Buell Chapel in Springfield, OR.
