Obit published in "The Central Georgian" Sandersville
"Died on the 5th of April 1868 at 11 o'clock Nathan Barwick aged eighty five years, nine months and two days. He was born in the State of North Carolina on the 3rd day of August 1782 and was one of a family consisting of sixteen children, eleven sons and five daughters. During his boyhood, his father moved from NC and settled in Darlington District, SC, near Dubosse ferry on Lynch's Creek, where he spent his early manhood in pleasure to himself and also to his parents. He married Elizabeth Whiddon, (who still survives) on the 21st of June 1810. Shortly after which he left the old homestead and settled in Emanuel CO, GA in the fork of the Ohoopie River, on the place where he lived, died and was buried......"
