Rachel (Green) Beals was the wife of William Beals and the mother of his five children, Jacob b:15 Jan 1777,
Rachel b:22 Dec 1778; d:26 Feb 1779,
Caleb b:5 Feb 1780,
Parnel b:1 Jul 1782, and
Asher Beals b:16 Sep 1784.

Asher could neither read or write, and his name has been spelled as Beals/Bails/Bales. He is believed buried in Knoxville as this was his place of residence when the 1850 Federal Census was taken. Rachel died in Knox County in 1799.
