Martha Newby was last of 11 children born to John and Margaret Newboy of Hamilton county, who resided on a farm near Walnut Grove.
United in marriage by Dr. Silas Blount, to Jospeh Billhymer, April 8, 1860. Her companion died on June 3, 1911.
Martha Billhymer joined the Christian church in Sept 1860 in Omega and enjoyed her church.
Six children came to live in their union. Three preceded their mother to Great Beyond were Margaret Bangle, Hattie Whisman and Charles Ora. Those who are left to mourn her departure are John Jefferson, of near Middletown, William of Omega and Amanda north of Omega and eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
