Jessie Klumpp Lamphere, 88, of 2723 Green Street, Jordan, died March 19, 1977 at Auburn Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Frank Allen Lamphere. Born in Weedsport, Mrs. Lamphere resided in Weedsport all her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weedsport. She was a long time member of the choir and the women's organizaiton. She also served as clerk of the church and as a Sunday School Teacher. She served in the Cayuga Baptist Association as chairman of the White Cross.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen J. Longendyke and Miss Eula Lamphere, one son, Richard A. Lamphere, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Cowell and Miss Barbara Klumpp of Weedsport and Mrs. Lawrence (Florence) Anson of Webster and several nieces and nephews.
