Boone, Roxie age 103 was the second of six daughters born to Rehoboam and Mary Elizabeth Ethridge on February 4, 1906 in Russellville, Arkansas. Married William Boone in Hot Springs, Arkansas on June 29, 1924 and had two daughters Theresa (Terry) and Vivian.

Roxie died April 19, 2009 in Ontario. The family lived in a variety of cities as they moved west arriving in Shafter, California in 1934. In California they lived in Oildale, Los Angele s, Huntington Park, and Upland before settling in Ontario in 1945. Roxie worked in many stores including many years at the Valley Dept. Store in Ontario. During this time Roxie became an Ordained Minister and held Bible Studies in her home where she won many souls to Christ. She was preceded in death by William and Vivian. She is survived by Terry (Don Vinnedge) and grandsons David (Margaret), great granddaughter Guenivere; Gary (Angela) and great granddaughters Kathleen and Nicole. Son-in-law Rodney Co ok and granddaughters Lori Cook and Lisa (Glen Moulton) and great granddaughters Lauren and Emily.

Graveside services will be held Saturday April 25 at 10:00 AM at Bellevue Mausoleum Center Chapel. Contributions may be made to Hospice, 150 W. 1st St. Suite 270, Claremont, CA 91711.
