Obituary:
Mrs. Aura Faye Jenkins Hicks, 62, formerly of Kilmarnock, died Thursday, Nov. 17, at her home in Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Hicks had been employed in admissions for Mary Washington Hospital. She was a member of the Mary Washington Hospital Auxiliary, the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad Auxiliary and was on the board of the Rappahannock Adult Activities Center. She was also affiliated with the Mary Ball Women's Club, the Confederate Ridge Garden Club, the Sweet Adelines Choral Group and the Community Chorus. She was a life member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by her husband, Floyd Hicks, Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Hicks Ellington of Gainesville; one brother, D. C. Jenkins, Jr. of Kilmarnock; four sisters, Mrs. Gleniss Crowther and Mrs. Mavis Haynie, both of Kilmarnock, Mrs. Oleta Havelock and Mrs. Lila Rose, both of White Stone; and two granchildren, Aimee and Eric Ellington of Gainesville.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Fredericksburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, followed by interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg.
