PIONEER STOCKMAN BURIAL AT LITTLE SIOUX

Charles A. Driggs, a pioneer in the live stock commission business here died Sunday morning in his home at 1610 Grandview boulevard following an illness of two months. He was 75 years old and had been a Sioux City resident since 1887.

Mr. Driggs was one of four men who were the first to open commission offices at the Sioux City stock yards when the yards were established here. He moved to Sioux City from Monona county in 1887. Until about three months ago Mr. Driggs was an inspector at the live stock exchange. He was born in Monona county in 1855.

Survivors include: His widow, Mrs. Clara Driggs, a son, Charles F. Driggs of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. C. H. Lennon of Sioux City and Mrs. L. E. Swanson of Storm Lake; a brother, Don Driggs of Los Angeles and a sister, Mrs. Caroline Foster of Scribner, Ia.

Funeral rites for Mr. Driggs will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon in West’s funeral home. A Christian Science reader will conduct the services. Burial will be at Little Sioux, Ia. -- S. C. Journal.
