CORA L. WOODWARD

.............................
Barber County Index (Medicine Lodge, KS.), P. 8, Col. 4
Wed., May 31, 1905
MATRIMONIAL.
WOODWARD-BURTON.
James E. Woodward of this city, junior member of the mercantile firm of H. T. Woodward & Son, and Miss Cora L. Burton, daughter of John W. Burton and wife of Aetna township, were united in marriage on Wednesday evening, May 24, 1905, at the residence of H. T. Woodward in this city, Rev. W. H. Moore, pastor of the M. E. church, officiating.
This couple enjoys a wide and favorable acquaintance throughout Barber county. The groom has been identified with the business interests of the city and county ever since he arrived at the age of accountability. To know him is to be his friend. To say that the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burton would seem insufficient to justify the conclusion that she is a lady of great worth, but the people of Medicine Lodge, during the past few years, have had opportunity to learn her personal merit independent of her excellent parentage. She has attended the city high school several terms and in a social way has become intimately acquainted with the people of the city, especially among the younger classes, and all know her as a refined, charming young lady of countless virtues and attainments.
The Index hopes that there may never be a cloud to darken the pathway of Mr. and Mrs. Woodward as they journey through life.
