MIDLAND,MARYLAND -- Frances Hughleen (Crowe) Kenner, 61, of Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, formerly of 131 Paradise St., Midland, died May 5, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.

Born Sept. 27, 1937, in Midland, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur Rudolph Crowe and Mary P. (McViegh) Crowe. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Chester Robert Kenner, in April 1963; and a sister, Marie (Crowe) Drew.

Frances was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland, the Sodality of the Church, Eucharist Minister, and Medal of Honor Recipient. She also was a graduate of Tri-State Beauty Academy, and was a former employee of Gla Mar Beauty Salon, Midland.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah R. (Kenner) Bennett and husband, Martin, Lonaconing, and Mary Frances (Crowe) Skidmore, Midland; four brothers, Wilbur J. Crowe, Donald G. Crowe and wife Joan M., all of Midland, Michael Clark Crowe and wife Arlyne, Cleveland, Ohio, and Edward J. Crowe and wife H. Joan, Cresaptown; four grandchildren, Tyler Robert Bennett, Derrick Daniel Skidmore, William Elliott Bennett, Samantha Nicole Skidmore; several nieces and nephews, including Mary Beth Johnson, and Denise M. Crowe. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Viola Kenner, Westernport, and her lifetime best friend, Sally Lyons Phillips, Cumberland.

Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, Thursday, May 6, 1999, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Friday, May 7, 1999, at 9:30 a.m. with Father Ed Hendricks as Celebrant. A Christian Wake Service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. with Sister Joan Maenner, O.S.F. Pastoral Life Director.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Box 1, Midland, MD 21542, or to Independent Dialysis Foundation, 939 Frederick St., Cumberland, MD 21502.

Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Robert Jackson, Wayne McKenzie, Richard Kenner, Ed Kenner and Rick Kenner.
