Decatur Daily Review – June 6, 1940

Frank Fry, a trucker, died at 8:15 a.m. today in his home at 352 East Marion street. He had been suffering from a heart ailment since December but attended the funeral Tuesday of his brother, Robert Fry, who died Sunday morning. He was 52 years old.
A son of Amos and Elizabeth Fry, Frank Fry was born Oct. 4, 1887, in Mt. Zion. He came to Decatur when he was four years old. He was married April 27, 1907, in Springfield to Mabel Lee, who survives.
Besides his wife, Mr. Fry leaves six children, Betty Jane, Myrtle June, and Frank, all at home, and Mrs. Katherine Mohr, Mrs. Latresa Bowles, and Mrs. Edna Shadrick, all of Decatur; two brothers, Fred and Charles Fry, both of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Cavanaugh, Mrs. Nettie Clow, and Mrs. Dollie Dunn, all of Decatur; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Moran & Sons chapel, with burial in Mt. Gilead cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
