Robert H. Fry, 58, of rural route 1, died of a heart attack at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in his home. He had been in poor health for some time by had not been confined to bed.
Born in Shelbyville April 27, 1882, he was the son of Amos and Elizabeth Fry. He married Bertha B McClelland of Decatur Sept. 3, 1903.
He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Sorrels, Mt. Zion, and Miss Kathryn Fry, at home, and two sons, Robert and Gene, of Decatur. Three children preceded him in death.
He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Clough, Cisco; Mrs. Anna Cavanaugh and Mrs. Dollie Dunn, Decatur, and three brothers Charles, Fred and Frank Fry, Decatur.
A teamster and truck operator, Mr. Fry for 30 years was employed by the Macon County Coal Co. and had lived in Decatur 52 years. He belonged to Local 279, Teamsters and Chauffeurs union.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Monson chapel, with burial in Mt. Gilead cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Monday.
