Hundley Rites Conducted Fri.
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Hudley, of Clear Creek, in the Bear Paw mountains, were held in the Holland Bonine chapel Dec 20,
3 p.m.
Friends from the mountains and friends from Havre and relatives from a distance had gathered to pay remembrance to a woman who many had known since girlhood and whose death is made doubly sad by the fact that a six year old daughter, frightened when her mother became suddenly ill two weeks ago, had frozen her feet badly in an effort to bring help. The small daughter, a patient in a local hospital, is still in ignorance of her mother's passing.
Edith Holderbaum Hundley was born in Dexter, Iowa, 41 years ago. She lived a large portion of her girlhood in Fort Benton and Great Falls and vicinity. She was married to Frank Hundley about 1910 and to them three children were born; a son Frank (Bill) now age 18, who since his father's death last January had assisted his mother in running the ranch; Leona now 6, and 3-year-old Harry. Mrs. Hundley is also survived by two brothers, D.S. Holderbaum of Highwood and Ray Holderbaum of Great Falls; a sister, Mrs. Jack F. Garrity of Great Falls. Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Middaugh, of Lansford, N. Dak., also attended the funeral. Mrs. Middaugh being a sister of Frank Hundley. The Middaughs return to N. Dak. Saturday night, taking with them 3 year old Harry Hundley.
