DONALD MILTON BURRIGHT - Donald Milton Burright, Clarinda, Ia, died Jan. 2, 1987 at his home in Clarinda. He had been in ill health for several years.
The son of Solomon and Katharine Folk Burright, he was born May 19, 1914 on a farm in Taylor County, Ia.
He graduated from Gravity, Iowa High School in 1933 and from Wichita Business College in Wichita, Ks, in 1936 with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
On Mar. 21, 1936 he was married to Mae Long of New Market, Ia. To this union five daughters were born. His wife, Mae, died in 1978.
He later married Gladys Lock Johnson of Clarinda, Ia.
Mr Burright farmed in Taylor County, Ia, many years and later tuned pianos in S.W Ia.
He is survived by his wife Gladys of the home in Clarinda, Ia: five daughters Ruth Haig and Eleanor Bargeron of Lake Matthews, Ca; Martha Holcomb, Midland, Tx; Sharon Williams, Hannibal, Mo; and Rosalie Nally, Mesa, Az, and an adopted daughter, Jennifer Burright, Red Oak, Ia; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Allen Burright, Kansas City, Ks, and Wayne Burright, Omaha, Ne; 3 sisters, Fern Burright, Omaha, Ne, Helen Bashaw, Orofino, Id, and Dorothy, Bashaw, Orofino, Id; one aunt, Lena Folk, Wichita, Ks, and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mae, a sister, Margaret Burright and a niece, Linda Burright.
The funeral service was at 10 am, Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1987 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda, Ia., with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery at Guss, Ia.
