OBITUARY
Mrs. Nellie E. Goltry, 86, a resident of Chariton for many years, died on Aug. 2 at McCollum's Rest Home.
She was the daughter of the Rev. Andrew N. Matheny, a minister for the Chariton Methodist Church, the wife of Charles Goltry, also a Methodist minister and a teacher in rural schools in this area for a number of years.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Landon Mendenhall. Burial was in the Chariton cemetery, Miley and Brueggemann Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Goltry's husband, parents, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
